About us

Capital Giving is a collective brought together by a common wish to support projects that advance opportunities for women and girls in the ACT community and surrounds.

The Capital Giving Concept is simple.

Everyone is welcome to join us, a donation of either $250, $500 or $1000 annually (before 30 June each year) will secure your option to vote on what project is funded. We aim to increase the amount we raise every year, growing our giving community beyond our friends, family and colleagues. Donations can be made in installments throughout the year of as a one off annually.

Where your donation goes

The funds raised are pooled to make one grant to an organisation located within the Canberra region.

At the beginning of July each year we invite applications from initiatives that aim to advance opportunities for local women and girls. Applications will need to meet a set of funding criteria.

Your donation is tax deductible as Capital Giving has been set up as a preferred donor fund through the National Foundation of Australian Women (NFAW).

Your Capital Giving Membership will:

  • Increase the impact of your donation through the amplifier effect of being part of a larger group
  • Raise your awareness of issues in our community affecting women and girls
  • Provide the opportunity to meet like-minded people to grow your personal and professional networks
  • Support local projects and provide opportunities to hear directly from grant recipient
