Capital Giving Canberra donate charity giving circle

The Capital Giving concept is simple.

Everyone is welcome to join us with a tax deductible donation of either $250, $500 or $1000 annually (before June 30 each year) which will secure your option to vote on what project is funded. We aim to increase the amount we raise every year, growing our giving community beyond our friends, family and colleagues. Donations can be made in installments throughout the year, or as a one-off annually.

Would you like to support a YWCA She Leads Scholarship ?

Capital Giving are accepting donations to fund scholarships for disadvantaged women and girls. Scholarships are to cover the cost of attendance at the annual YWCA She Leads Conference or other YWCA She Leads workshop programs.

Your tax deductible donations of any size will be forwarded to the YWCA Canberra who will ensure women or girls most in need receive these scholarships.

Follow this link to the National Foundation of Australian Women (NFAW) and select ‘Capital Giving’ from the drop down box.

The funds raised are pooled to make one grant to an organisation located within the Canberra region. At the beginning of July each year we invite applications from non-profit organisations – their applications will need to meet a set of funding criteria.

At the beginning of July each year we invite applications from initiatives that aim to advance opportunities for local women and girls. Applications will need to meet a set of funding criteria.

Applications are then shortlisted by our founder and committee, and sent to all members for their opportunity to vote.

Your donation is tax deductible as Capital Giving has been set up as a preferred donor fund through the National Foundation of Australian Women (NFAW).

Your Capital Giving Membership will:

  • Increase the impact of your donation through the amplifier effect of being part of a larger group
  • Raise your awareness of issues in our community affecting women and girls
  • Provide the opportunity to meet like-minded people to grow your personal and professional networks
  • Support local projects and provide opportunities to hear directly from grant recipient
